Anne Frank

Annelies Marie Frank (1929–1945) was born in Frankfurt, Germany, and moved with her family to Amsterdam to escape the rise of Nazism. When the German occupation of the Netherlands made life impossible for Dutch Jews, the Frank family went into hiding in July 1942 in a concealed annex behind Otto Frank's business premises.
